UJIA Ladies Night 2016
It was a challenge to turn UJIA’s Women’s Lunch into Ladies’ Night. My co-chair, Louise Jacobs and I wanted re-energise this flagship women’s event, and engage and bring together women of all generations to raise funds to support Jewish future in the UK.
In March 2016, Café de Paris was the glittering venue for the launch of UJIA Ladies’ Night, with more than 300 women attending and raising an amazing £155,000 – a 50% increase on the previous year’s Women’s Lunch.
Guests were treated to acts including the Escala violin quartet, Paul Zerdin, winer of America’s Got Talent 2015, Mon Amie, girl group from The X Factor, comedian Sindu Vee and opera singer Simone Angel. They all Just Said Yes!
“It’s amazing to see so many women here. I think it’s important for young women to show their support for the future of the community.”
